Meet the Artist

Patricia Placona is a native of Scranton, Pennsylvania and currently enjoys living in Roanoke, Virginia. As her admirers can see, the Blue Ridge Mountains provide a constant source of inspiration for this talent artist. Patricia Placona takes her inspiration from the change of seasons and change of light, and often, what she sees while driving to and from teaching yoga and pilates. She also enjoys using live models for portraits and figure studies. Patricia has always been a creative spirit and also creates fantasy art, using nature as her inspiration.
She studied art formally at Pratt Institute and over the years has worked as a art teacher, illustrator, retail advertising manager and teaches yoga and pilates. 
Patricia enjoys a variety of interest including rock concerts, opera, traveling, yoga, and, or course, making art!
